Wondering if your service repair shop in Las Vegas will offer those new Audi headlights you’ve been hearing about? These “variable settings” for headlights might take longer than the German luxury automaker is hoping for.
Variable Setting Headlights Explained
A variable setting on headlights allows you to adjust the lights based on road conditions and surroundings. For example, headlights could be adjusted for heavy rain, fog, sunset, and so on.
Why No Change?
A 1968 U.S. law is preventing this new technology from hitting the market. The regulation states that headlights can only switch between high and low settings. An Audi lighting system is “much more complicated.” Before the change is made, the system must be studied and proven effective.
